Given that you’ll likely be with your parents, siblings and/or children, Costa Rica is a perfect choice for a family vacation!
It is very family-vacation friendly, super family friendly!
Costa Rica is small. The roads are good. The internet service is great. The police are honest. Most importantly, Costa Rica is safe!
It is the safest country in Central America, in fact. And, along with Chili and Uruguay, Costa Rica is ranked among the safest country in all Latin America.
Costa Rica is it isn’t even half the size of Cuba. It is roughly one-fifth the size of Colorado.
Because of the small geographic area Costa Rica Covers, it is possible to see a great deal of the country in a week or less.
In addition to the country being small, driving in Costa Rica is fast. The roads are good and the distances are short.
From one coast to another or from border to border — either one — is about the same driving time as it is from Denver to Grand Junction.
Furthermore, no country in Latin America puts a greater emphasis on its tourism industry than Costa Rica. The country has focused on the tourism trade for almost 50 years.
As a result, Costa Ricans — “Ticos” — are the best hosts in Latin America!
On one hand, the geography of Costa Rica is exceptionally well-suited for people in their twilight years, seniors who prefer a leisure eco-adventure vacation.
There are enough beaches, mountain resorts, and exertion-free activities to satisfy even the most active seniors for a lifetime.
On the other hand, extreme adventures are around every corner.
Have kids under the age of 14?
There is even more for them to do!
From canopy zipline tours, whitewater rafting trips, canyon repelling, and spelunking to four-wheeler tours, horseback riding, and bungee jumping, there is something for everyone on a Costa Rica family vacation!
The when isn’t as important as the where.
That is to say, Costa Rica’s four different climate zones each have their own sweet spots. Regardless of what you want to do, you can do it somewhere in Costa Rica at any given time.
The best time of year to visit Costa Rica just depends on where you want to go and what you want to see and do!
